‘Give meaning to fight against corruption’
The Bishop of the Kumasi Archdiocese of the Catholic Church, Most Rev. Gabriel Justice Yaw Anokye, has urged the government to give meaning to its perceived fight against corruption by first prosecuting those found guilty within the administation.
He said for now, the perceived fight against the canker appeared to be mere rhetoric since those found guilty of corrupt practices were still roaming about freely in the county.
The bishop cautioned that if nothing was done about the situation, corruption would soon spread into every facet of life since people would not be afraid of prosecution any longer.
Most Rev. Anokye was speaking at the opening of the 4th National Congress of the Catholic Men’s Society in Kumasi.
