I'm not done - E.T. Mensah

One of Ghana’s longest serving members of Parliament, Mr Enoch Teye Mensah, has dismissed reports that he has decided not to contest in the upcoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries.

Mr Mensah, who is the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ningo Prampram constituency, said he had not told anyone that he was not contesting the seat.

This was in response to rumours that the MP would not be contesting in the primaries.

“I am contesting the Ningo Prampram seat. I have not spoken anywhere, I have not said that to anybody,” he said on Accra-based Citi FM.

He also said that if he were to hand over, he would hand over to one of the people who had worked with him for a long time.

“The rumour is that I told a couple of guys that I would hand over to them. If I am going to hand over to anybody, it would be to one of those who have been in the trenches with us all this while; not to one of the new ones,” he stated.
