NDC disqualify Kofi Adams from contesting Buem bye-election

Spokesperson for the Rawlings’ Mr. Kofi Adams may have to contest the Buem Constituency bye-election as an Independent Candidate.
This is because the suspended Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic
Congress (NDC) who filed to contest the primaries for the vacant seat has been disqualified by the party.
The reason for the disqualification is not immediately known but a facebook
post by Kofi Adams last night read, “The Evil Ones in the party have
decided to deny Buem Constituency to have me as their representative.
I leave it to God…”
Meanwhile, a group calling itself Friends of Kofi Adams, has served notice it will petition the Party to explain the decision.
Spokesperson for the group, Iddrisu Hamdu said: “We will petition the party but also organize, within the
constituency, for him to go [contest] as an independent candidate.”
“The party must explain to the whole world the article they used within
the constitution of our party [NDC] to disqualify Kofi Adams.
We are charging Asiedu Nketia and his cohorts to come out and tell us
where and when there has been any article against him [Adams].”
