Six thousand polling stations will be opened across the country for all registered members of the party to elect candidates for the 2016 elections, according to General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia.

Voting will be by biometric means and the expansion of qualified voters for the presidential and parliamentary primaries to cover all registered party members effectively abolishes the delegates system. The electoral college system has too often led to allegations of bribe-induced camping of delegates, Asiedu Nketia told Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen talk show.

The party has also announced filing fees of GH¢50,000 for presidential and GH¢10,000 for male parliamentary aspirants while women and disabled parliamentary aspirants will pay GH¢5,000.
