The 33-year-old boxer said he really felt bad to hear people say that money was his only motivation for his decision  to fight Kamoko, aka Bukom Banku.

In an interview with the Graphic Sports, Powers disclosed that he and his manager would make an official declaration to that effect and also name the beneficiary of his gesture.

“It really hurts me to hear some people say I’m only  going into the fight because of money.

I’m ready to give my purse  to charity to demonstrate to such people that  I already have enough to live on.

“My only motivation is to end the dominance of Bukom Banku on the local scene,” he stated.

He considered victory over Banku as a stepping stone to the world stage, saying he would not be intimidated  by the bragging of Banku.
