ERFA Congress Saturday
The Emergency Committee of the Ghana Football Association has scheduled Saturday for its extra-ordinary congress to elect the chairman of the Eastern Regional Football Association (ERFA).
Accordingly, the committee has directed that old members of the ERFA are barred from contesting positions in the election until they have submitted the audited account of their stewardship. That is in compliance with a court order after an Accra high court ruled in a case involving Geoffrey Oteng Arthur and the Ghana Football Association.
“Members of the ERFA are entitled under Article 49.3 of the GFA Statutes to send delegates to the ERFA extra-ordinary congress and may update the list of delegates submitted to the ERFA Secretariat in October last year”.
It further directed that all updated lists should be submitted to the GFA Secretariat either personally or by fax before the close of work today.
The committee said in case there were no updates, the original list of delegates submitted to the ERFA Secretariat shall apply, adding that the Electoral Commission would be in charge of the elections.
