John Boye returns from injury after six months lay-off

Ghana defender, John Boye, has returned to fitness after six months on the sidelines with a knee injury.

The 26-year-old who plies his trade with Rennes in France played the entire 90 minutes when his side beat Auxerre 1-0 in the Coupe de France.

The former Hearts of Lions defender got injured in September 2013 after Ghana's match against Japan.

His recovery will be welcomed by Black Stars coach, Kwasi Appiah, as he tries to assemble a team to represent Ghana at the Brazil 2014 World Cup.
