2 Korean boxers begin tour of Ghana

Two Korean boxers, welterweight Lee Kyu Suk and Jeon Byung Yun, a super welterweight, have begun training tour of Accra to develop their boxing skills.

Coach Theophilus Edwin Addo is leading the technical instructions for the Korean pugilists at the Akotoku Boxing Gym in Accra.

The two arrived in Accra last Saturday afternoon in the company of Hwang Hyun Ki, a Korean boxing promoter and WKF Asia vice president.

They are being hosted by Gh Bosslink Promotions whose boss, Collins Bio-Donkor, was at the Kotoka International Airport to welcome the trio.

"They are still struggling with the weather but I'm sure they will get used to it,"  Bio-Donkor said after their first training session last Monday.

"They are here to train and hopefully engage in some few fights with some Ghanaian boxers before leaving with our team to another training tour in UK in September," Mr. Bio-Donkor explained.

"This is also an exchange programme which is part of a unique partnership we secured with our Korean partners through which boxers from our gym will also travel to Korea later this year on a similar training tour," he added.
