Bui Power supports Paintsil Academy

The collaboration between John Paintsil Football Academy and the Bui Power Authority to unearth and develop talents seems to be yielding dividends in the Ga East third division middle league.

One of such talents whose outstanding performance has gained prominence is 15-year-old Collins Adoeson, who is gradually emerging as the revelation of the competition.

So far, he is the only player to have scored two goals in the opening game. He is also the current top scorer with three goals after just two matches, which according to the former Black Stars full back, has been achieved on the back of the invaluable support from the power producing company.

He disclosed to the Daily Graphic yesterday that the Bui Power Authority had been phenomenal in supporting five players from Bui to play in the league and the result was what Adoeson was displaying.

Paintsil thanked the CEO of Bui Power Authority, Samuel Kofi Ahiave Dzamesi, for sponsoring five players from the area to participate in the competition as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

He also called on corporate bodies to emulate what the power producing outfit had done.

“Bui Power is facilitating the travel of these players to play in the Ga East Middle League which is very commendable. I wish to call on other companies to, as part of their CSR, support us to unearth more talents,” he stated.

The former West Ham player said that was an indication of government’s commitment to developing sports from the early stages and believed that with more support from other corporate bodies, a lot more talents could be discovered for the country.

“The government is investing so much in grassroot football now and I believe that if more companies also get involved, we could discover a lot of players who can become future stars for this country”, he stated.
