Hearts host Starke FC Sunday
Accra Hearts of Oak will play host to Starke FC tomorrow prior to a special four-club tournament ahead of the Premier League’s second round which kicks off on February 5.
Hearts have been heavily criticised under new coach Mohammed Polo after dropping to the third position with seven points adrift of league leaders, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Speaking to the Daily Graphic yesterday, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the club, Muheeb Saeed, said: “taking part in these matches are part of the coach’s pareparations towards the second round of the league.”
“We know it will be beneficial to the club so we decided to take part in those matches.”
The Hearts PRO stated that new signings, Ezekiel Tetteh, Ivorian striker Edikeu Berenger, Odupong Wellington and Abdul Manan Mustapha, were showing signs of improvement, giving them the confidence that they would help the team in the second round.
“Our new signings are improving by the day and we know they will add to the quality of the team,” Muheeb assured.
