Kotoko launch support for Coach Duncan

Defending Premier League champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, have launched an ‘operation fill the stadium for Duncan’ campaign to create an intimidating atmosphere when the club hosts Algerian club, Mouloudia Club d’El Eulma in the CAF Champion League 1/16th stage second leg on Sunday.

The operation is not only for the continental matches but the league as well. The former Accra Hearts of Oak  coach has already been touted as the ‘Messiah’ to lift the First Capital Plus Premier League trophy on his first season.

Coach Duncan appeared to have already won the hearts of the vociferous supporters who thronged the stadium in their numbers in their last Sunday’s 1-0 win over Liberty Professionals.

Indeed, for once in many years, Kotoko run out of tickets as lots of home fans were stuck at the main entrance of the Baba Yara Stadium.

Subsequently, the club has announced rates for Sunday’s crucial game at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The Popular Stand goes for GH¢8, Centre Line, GH¢10, and VIP GH¢30.

The Public Relations Officer of Kotoko, Kwaku Ahenkorah, told the Daily Graphic that the rates could have been reduced to encourage more people into the stadium but the cost of participating in the CAF competition warranted the slightly high rates.

Meanwhile, accreditation for journalists to cover Sunday’s match and all Kotoko CAF matches begins today at a special press conference at the Baba Yara Stadium.
