A game that appeared to be heading for a 2-2 draw witnessed a dramatic twist when midfielder Akwasi Donsu struck the winner in the 90th minute.

Medeama took the lead in the 32nd minute through Enoch Atta-Agyei when goalkeeper Gbohouo Sylvester in post for Mazembe failed to grab a shot

Moses Sarpong increased the tally for the homesters when he converted a penalty awarded them in the 59th minute.

However, the visitors stormed back into the game as their skipper, Jonas Sakuwaha, pulled one back in the 61st minute.

Drawing inspiration from the goal, the visitors increased their search for the equaliser and managed to pull through in the 72nd minute through Ransford Kalaba.
