Mo Farah cleared of wrongdoing

UK Athletics have found no "evidence of impropriety" on Mo Farah's part in an investigation into his coach, Alberto Salazar, and the Oregon Project.

In June, BBC’s Panorama programme broadcast allegations that Salazar, who coaches at the Nike Oregon Project in Portland, had violated anti-doping rules. He denies all the claims.

Salazar is an unpaid consultant for UK Athletics (UKA) but the three-person Performance Oversight Group (POG) did not find any evidence to recommend that they nor Farah should sever ties with the US-based coach.

Farah, the double Olympic champion, has not been accused of any wrongdoing since the accusations were made eight weeks ago against Salazar and the UKA review has found “no impropriety” on his part.

Farah was grilled for five hours on Saturday during an Usada investigation into the claims made against Salazar.

The statement read: "With reference to the first and most vital objective of the review, the Board can confirm that none of the extensive information supplied to the POG contained any evidence of impropriety on the part of Mo Farah, nor gave UK Athletics any reason to question the appropriateness of the input given by the Oregon Project to Mo Farah's training regime. — Mirror
