GNCC organises trade mission to South Korea
The Ghana National Chamber of Commerce (GNCC), an association of business operators with interest spanning all sectors of private enterprises, is organising a major trade and investment mission to Seoul, South Korea from June 10 to 19, 2017.
The objective of the trade mission is to directly attract foreign investments and also provide new opportunities for member firms to discover new markets, by presenting their products and looking for distributors among other commercial collaborations.
The trip which is being organised in collaboration with the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), comes at a time when the government is renergising the enthusiasm of private sector players to enable them play their roles as the engine of growth for the ailing economy.
The Head of Marketing, Trade and Investment Promotion, Mr Frederick Adu Amoako, who briefed the Daily Graphic about the trip in a mail interview at the weekend, described the trip as most important and timely for the members of the chamber, adding that “the Chamber has the objective of promoting industrial and commercial interest in Ghana and strengthening trade and investment relations between Ghana and other countries”.
Nature of mission
The mission, he said would consist of Business to Business (B2B) meetings between participating business operators from the following business sectors; automobile/auto parts, food and beverages, machines & equipment, agricultural machines & inputs, IT & electronics, building and construction materials, plastics, organic chemicals, optical, technical and medical apparatus, clothing among others.
“The Mission will consist of Business to Business (B2B) meetings between participating companies, Company and Factory Visitation, Participation in a Trade Fair/ Buyer – Seller meeting”, he said adding that the “trip has been made affordable at a package and fee of US$4,000 per head and includes; visa, ground transportation, air fare and hotel accommodation.
Mr Amoako expressed the hope that members of the association would take advantage of the opportunity to revitalise their businesses.
