EL, R2Bees for 4Syte awards
Come Saturday, November 15, the Accra International Conference Centre will host this year’s 4syte Music Video Awards. And to make it a memorable event, many artistes have been lined up to thrill the audience to great performances on the night.
They are R2Bees, Kwaw Kesse, EL, D Black and dancehall artistes, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
Ghanaian fastest rapper, Sarkodie, received nine nods to emerge the highest nominee for the event when the list was announced at a ceremony held at the Oak Plaza hotel in Accra last month.
He was followed closely by Edem, EL and UK Based artiste, Fuse ODG with seven nominations each.
Last year, Sarkodie won the highest number of awards at the event. He walked away with the Most Influential Artiste of the Year, Most Popular Video of the Year, Best Storyline Video of the Year, Best Directed Video Award and Best Hip-pop Video of the Year.
With nine nominations, it is expected that the Adonai rapper will repeat the feat chalked last year.
There are 18 categories to be awarded on the night. Fuse ODG, EL, D Black, Becca, Guru, VVIP, Sarkodie, Edem, Shatta Wale and Samini are competing for the Most Influential Artiste of the Year Award.
Saturday’s event which is the competition’s sixth edition has an international dimension with the addition of the Best African Act Video Award category.
And battling for the honours are Ice Prince ft Sarkodie for Shot On Shot, Davido featuring Mafikizolo for Tchelete (Goodlife), Marvins for Dorobucci and Phyno featuring Flavor for Autha.
Also in the race are P Square for Testimony, Yemi Alade for Johnny, Wiz Boy for Wizolingo and Bucie for Easy To Love.
Bola Ray of Starr FM and actress/TV personality, Joselyn Dumas, will be the hosts at the event organised by 4Syte TV and sponsored by Club Beer.
