Foundation holds adolescent youth summit

Star Ghana Foundation, through its partnership with the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI), is supporting civil society organisations (CSOs) in the country to become more resilient, visible and self-sustaining.

Speaking at the third edition of the Adolescent with Talent Summit organised by the Dynamic Works Foundation, the Project Officer for the Civil Society Strengthening Fund (CSSF) at Star Ghana, Sarah Adjei, said the initiative was part of a broader effort to empower local organisations to stand on their own and lead development.

She explained that the partnership began through the Catalyst Fund, a collaboration between STAR Ghana Foundation and WACSI, alongside partners in Malawi and Zambia.

The fund was created to help small CSOs develop systems, improve visibility and attract funding that can be sustained while promoting solutions by locals to community challenges.

Through this initiative, Dynamic Works Foundation has benefited from technical and institutional support to strengthen its systems, enhance communication and showcase its work more effectively to donors and the public.

Mentoring

Dynamic Works Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, held the third edition of its Adolescent with Talent Summit to mentor young people to identify, nurture and align their talents with education for global relevance.

The summit, held on the theme: “Igniting the Adolescent’s 3Ps: Purpose, Potential, Power”, brought together educators, mentors and students for a day of inspiration, coaching and mentorship.

Organised in partnership with the STAR Ghana Foundation, West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) and Twellium Industries, the event featured panel discussions and interactive sessions designed to help adolescents discover their strengths and channel their creativity toward productive futures.

Delivering the keynote address, the Co-founder of Rescue and Peer Counselling, Rev. Dr Shine Ofori, emphasised the need to guide adolescents to use their talents responsibly.

“Your potential is your power and your purpose. But when your purpose is mismanaged, potential can be misused or even become distracting,” she cautioned.

The Founder of Dynamic Works Foundation, Gloria Cann, reiterated the organisation’s commitment to empowering adolescents through education and creativity.
