Also, he has urged Christians to live exemplary lives of peace and carry the same message everywhere as the founder of the Christian faith, Jesus Christ, who was also called the Prince of Peace, believes in the ministry of reconciliation.

“I believe Ghana, being a nation that has over 70 per cent of its population being Christians, is privileged to be carriers of the message of peace because the Prince of Peace, who is Jesus himself, lives in us and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. I encourage all pastors and Christians to use their platform to promote peace,” the Moderator stated.

He noted that all religious groups, including muslims and traditionalists, stood for peace and must, therefore, make sure there was peace and unity among all religious groups and Ghanaians to build a very prosperous nation.

Ordination

Rt Rev. Dzomeku was speaking at the 2024 Commissioning Service to ordain 19 new Reverend Ministers of the GEC at the GEC’s Trinity Chapel in Kotobabi-Accra last Sunday.

Advice

The Moderator of GEC urged the commissioned ministers to see themselves as co-labourers with the Lord Jesus Christ, called to work in the vineyard of God as the harvest according to the scripture is plenty.

“We also believe that God in His divinity has chosen to partner humans in carrying His agenda of saving souls. This is teaching us that, human beings can also partner each other. We can work in teams to further God's agenda and our agenda as we move on in life,” he said.

Rt Rev. Dzomeku urged the ministers to base their experiences on the Bible and be good teachers of the Bible to win souls.

“I want to appeal to my colleagues that as we go out there, we should feed more on the Word of God and feed the people with the Word of God more than any other thing. It’s the Word of God that is the power, the gospel is the power that saves people. I encourage all workers in God’s vineyard to live on the Word of God and their lives will be better off,” he said.

The Moderator also appealed to the ministers to work hard to attain the purpose for which they have been called in order to make the Lord Jesus Christ, the church, their family and themselves proud.
