Kumasi: Four escape unhurt from accident in front of KMA offices

Four passengers onboard a taxi cab Thursday morning escaped unhurt when the cab collided head on with a truck loaded with sachet water in Kumasi.

The driver of the cab however got badly injured. It took the intervention of personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service to cut the badly mangled vehicle to rescue the driver.

He was sent to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for treatment.

The incident occurred around 11:45am just in front of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly office when the truck with registration number AW 2189-12 loaded was said to have had a faulty braking system.

In attempt to avoid running into other cars, the driver veered of the road and run into the cab with registration number AS4112 W head-on.

The incident created a heavy vehicular traffic from Adum and the Kumasi Golden Tulip City Hotel stretch of the road.
