Methodist Men’s Fellowship holds AGM
The 29th Annual General Meeting of the Accra North Circuit of the Association of Methodist Men’s Fellowship has been held at the Calvary Methodist Church at Adabraka in Accra with a call on Christians, particularly the men, to make the welfare of the church and ordinary people their prime concern.

The Superintendent Minister of the circuit, Very Rev. Theophilus K. Anderson, who made the call, said members of the Men’s Fellowship and, indeed, all other men in the church must endeavour to address the physical and spiritual needs of the poor and vulnerable in society.
He said a society in which some people spent about GHc30,000 for a six-foot piece of land to bury their dead, while a huge percentage of the people found it extremely difficult to have three-square meals daily could not be said to be a Christian society.

The AGM was on the theme: “Men as an epistle of Christ: Will the reader find Jesus in your pages?”
The minister in charge of the Immanuel Methodist Society at the Regimanuel-Gray Estates, East Airport, Accra, Very Rev. Kodwo Arkoh-Boham, urged the members of the association to lead lives worthy of emulation and take up the mantle to build the church.
New executives
New executive officers were elected at the end of the AGM to run the affairs of the Circuit for the next (one) year.
They are Nana Osei Kwame, Chairman, with Kwamina Amoasi-Andoh, Isaac Kojo Achiampong, Paul Obeng, Emmanuel Afari, J.M. Hagan, Emmanuel Monney, Collins Sakyi Armah, Abraham Koomson, Joe Aggrey and Dr Winston Ekow Andah as members.
The new Officers were later inducted into office at a special service held at the Adjiriganor Methodist Church last Sunday.

The minister in charge of the church, Very Rev. John Kofi French, who inducted the new executive into office, urged them to allow God to use them for His work and the salvation of the people.
The past National Chairman of the association, Mr I.N. Kwoffie, urged the members to wake up and lead the transformation of the Methodist Church, adding that they must be committed to the task since things done by halves were never done right.
