Mummy Day Care holds 2015 family funfair
Mummy Day Care, over the weekend held its 2015 Family Funfair and Jumbo sales in collaboration with Buzzy Kids Montessori and True Love School at Lizzy Sports Complex in East Legon.

The annual programme which brought together over three hundred children and their parents was aimed at creating a platform for children to spend quality leisure playtime with their parents, friends and teachers outside the classroom.
Also in attendance were pupils of Onward International, The Light Academy and North Ridge Lyceum.
It was an opportunity for parents and teachers to identify the talents and unique skills of the children and discuss their progress.
Aside playing football, the children had a great time with other fun games like face painting, bouncy castle, obstacle course, sack race, and musical chairs.
The Chief Executive Officer of Mummy Day Care, who organized the programme, Mrs. Linda B. Dzameshie, when interviewed by Graphic Online, said that children needed quality monitored leisure play time to enhance their academic excellence.
She explained further that in order to achieve academic excellence, some amount of play time was required for children.
“For a child to focus in the classroom, parents need to monitor and identify their interests, talents and weaknesses in order to make the right decisions and be informed about available alternatives for the child’s education, hence the funfair,” she said.

Children who came first, second and third in the competitive games like musical chairs, coloring, among others, were awarded educative materials, including puzzles, books, pencil cases, school bags and medals.
All those who attended the funfair were refreshed with food drinks and souvenirs from Cowbell, Kalyppo, and Indomie, among other sponsors.
