It was also the third successive win for coach Yaw Acheampong since leading the club to defeat Ebusua Dwarfs in an MTN FA Cup match in Accra.

After a barren first half, Doetse Agbashie scored his fourth goal of the season to hand the Wonder Club their sixth week of the season.

The visitors started the game strongly but met a fierce response from Olympics in a physical game which saw referee Ali Alhassan flashing the yellow card at All Stars’ Richard Akrofi in the first minute of the game, followed by further cautioning to teammate Nicholas Mensah and Olympics’ Ofoe Ofotsu in an effort to restore calm in the game.

Coach Acheampong’s 46th minute introduction of Daniel Appiah into the game to as replacement for Owusu Sefa proved vital for Olympics as the substitute played a crucial role in the build up to the only goal of the match.

And despite throwing in all his cards, Coach Jimmy Korblah’s side failed to find the equaliser as the defeat saw them slip down the league log. --ghanafa.org
