We have failed Ghana’s youth and we must rebuild trust and restore hope - Frimpong-Boateng
Appearing on a television talk programme last Saturday, Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, a former Minister of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation said Ghana’s leadership has failed the youth.
Speaking on TV3’s current affairs programme on Saturday [Nov 30, 2024], Prof Frimpong-Boateng therefore urged the current leaders to work towards rebuilding the lost trust and restoring hope among young Ghanaians.

Lt Gen Arnold Quainoo (Rtd) a.k.a. ‘Buffalo Soldier’ passes on
A former Ghanaian military officer, Lieutenant General Arnold Quainoo who served as the Chief of Defence Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces from August 1983 to September 1989 has passed on.
He died on Monday, December 2, 2024 at the 37 Military Hospital.

The past Sunday produced lively scenes in church. Somehow, the color white dominated congregation wear throughout the nation, and may have signaled one thanksgiving or the other.
Suspense heightened when our Pastor asked for extra prayers because ‘Today is the 1st of November;’ that was a fatal tongue slip which found the congregation exchanging uneasy glances, and wondering whether Pastor was not in a hurry for December 7 elections.
1st November would have meant five more weeks of palpitation and suspense; and that’s why Pastor’s instant correction was almost followed by an enthusiastic response of ‘Amen, thank you Jesus!’

Ghana Election 2024: EC issues revised media accreditation for constituency and regional collation centres
Media personnel assigned photo accreditation to cover Ghana's 2024 elections, can now use the same accreditation that gives them access to polling stations to also cover constituency and regional collation centres.
This follows a decision by the Electoral Commission (EC) to revise media accreditation for constituency and regional collation centres.

President inaugurates Tema Motorway interchange phase II
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has for the umpteenth time inaugurated another interchange, the Tema motorway interchange Phase II, in the Greater Accra region.
This is the third interchange, President Akufo-Addo has inaugurated in just two weeks.

The Speaker, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, in a notice dated December 2, 2024, said the recall was in pursuant to Orders 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament.

Ghana Olympic Committee President, Ben Nunoo Mensah, has raised doubts about the competence of coach Otto Addo in securing Ghana's qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
Addo is facing growing pressure after failing to secure a spot for Ghana in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be held in Morocco.
Speaking on Asempa FM on December 2, Mr Mensah expressed his concerns, saying, "I have not been convinced about Otto Addo's coaching abilities, especially against Niger. In crucial games, the coaches play a key role, and based on the AFCON matches and what I expected from him, I don’t think he is competent enough to qualify Ghana for the 2026 World Cup."

Military will not deploy to polling stations - GAF reiterates
