The Eminent Persons Group of the Christian Council of Ghana has called on security agencies to demonstrate professionalism and impartiality in the upcoming December 7 elections.

The group, composed of both Christian and Muslim leaders, emphasized that the integrity of the electoral process largely depends on the conduct of the security forces.

The Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame, has assured that cases of election-related violence will be addressed swiftly. 

“You can be assured that any infarctions are investigated as swiftly as possible and prosecution also mounted effectively,” he said when observer missions of African Union (AU), and Commonwealth paid a courtesy on him today (Dec 5). 

The People’s National Party (PNP) has indicated that the party remains unaligned to any of the aspirants in Saturday's general elections.

unwavering commitment to the party's principles and mission of prioritising the welfare of the 
vulnerable over partisan interest.
