Milo had made the initial first five, comprising Israeli Avram Grant, Dutchman Patrick Kluivert, Marco Tardelli and Bernd Schuster, but in a twist of events, the GFA has left him in the cold and rather  opted for Michel Pont, former assistant to Switzerland coach, Otmar Hitzfeld.

Another European, Juan Ignacio Jimenze, has also been considered in place of Bernd Schuster, who is now on standby.

According to a statement by the FA, Pont, Kluivert and Tardelli will arrive in Accra to be interviewed on October 17, while Grant and Jimenez will be interviewed on October 18.

Meanwhile, the FA has placed coaches Bernd Schuster and Ricardo Gareca on standby in the event of one or some of the above listed are not readily available.
