Mandate
Delivering his acceptance speech, Mr Samba said the delegates had given him a clear mandate to continue steering the affairs of the party in the region as it began preparations towards the 2028 general election.
He expressed gratitude to the delegates for the confidence reposed in his leadership, saying the victory came with the responsibility to work harder to strengthen the party and position it for success in the next general election.
He said a strong and active grassroots structure would be critical to rebuilding the party’s support base and securing more parliamentary seats in the 2028 elections.
Internal unity
Mr Samba also stressed the importance of unity among party members, noting that internal cohesion would be essential to achieving the NPP’s electoral ambitions.
He said he would work to bring together all factions and supporters, regardless of their differences, to create a united front ahead of the 2028 polls.
He pledged to work with the other regional and constituency executives, parliamentary candidates, grassroots supporters and other stakeholders to strengthen the party and enhance its prospects in the next general election.
