Chelsea will fall at Len Clay — New Edubiase captain

Following their unexpected victory over Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium last Saturday, players and officials of New Edubiase United are confident the club would add Brekum Chelsea to their victims when they clash at the Len Clay Sports Stadium this weekend for their 10th week Premier League clash.

New Edubiase captain Ibrahim Samed told the Daily Graphic on Wednesday that the players had been adequately motivated after their victory over Kotoko and had vowed to beat the Berekum lads, who won 3-0 against Dreams FC at the Golden City Park last Sunday.

“Just like our encounter with Kotoko in Kumasi, our match against Chelsea will be very difficult. But no matter the resistance they put up, they will fall like Kotoko did,” noted the confident captain.

Expressing concern about their low position on the league table, Samed said it was time New Edubiase began to climb higher from the 13th position they currently occupy and end the season in a respectable position on the league log, hence their strong desire to win at home on Sunday.

He indicated that the club’s ambition would need a strong support from their fans to materialise.

“Like Ashgold, New Edubiase is your team. We have adopted the Len Clay stadium for our home matches, that is why I am appealing to you to always fill the stadium in your numbers and offer us your unflinching support to galvanise us to win all our home matches,” he appealed.
