Freezy Macbones fights for national title November 22
Seth Gyimah, known as Freezy Macbones, will face David Okai for the Ghana light heavyweight title in Accra next Friday, November 22, on a show that will also see a lot of musical performances.
The bout headlines the 'Ghana Elections 2024 Peace and Unity Night of Boxing and Entertainment' show presented by Sports Education & Management Promotions in collaboration with Gyimah's own Macbones Promotion at the Bukom Boxing Arena aimed at preaching the message of peace before and after the upcoming general election.

A press conference is slated for tomorrow at the Fitrip Gym in Dzorwulu, Accra - where Macbones trains - to confirm all the cards and musicians on the bill.
Undefeated Gyimah (9-0, 8 KOs) has racked up seven straight victories by stoppages since relocating from his UK base to relaunch his career in Ghana, having started his professional stint at the prime age of 33 only in March last year.
Macbones' Round two knock out of Christopher Wood on debut at the famous York Hall in London drew comparisons with legendary American former heavyweight champion, 'Iron' Mike Tyson and even though he easily won his second career fight a month later, Gyimah who had lived in the UK since 2012, packed back to Accra.
Failed Olympic dream
The professional chef initially joined Ghana's national boxing team, the Black Bombers, in a bid to realise his Olympic dream but lost to Seydou Konate of Senegal at the very first hurdle of the African qualifiers to Paris 2024 in Dakar in September 2023.
Gyimah then made a U-turn by announcing his withdrawal from the Black Bombers even before the two world qualifying tournaments in Italy and Thailand, to focus on his professional career and launched Macbones Promotions by holding a debut show at the Bukom Boxing Arena in January.
Macbones' career revival, however, swung into full gear in May when he beat Gabriel Adoku by flooring the opponent five times before knocking him out in just two rounds at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

Gyimah has since chalked up six victories subsequently in the six months, all by quick stoppages, including the last time against Francis Manda at Sowutuom on October 25, which ended after just 52 seconds.
The chance to win the national title will definitely be a huge step towards his dreams of returning to the big stage in the UK and globally to challenge the big boys of world boxing.
