Independent presidential candidate Nana Kwame Bediako, has voiced his frustration with the Electoral Commission (EC), citing alleged irregularities in the process of obtaining accreditation for polling agents ahead of the upcoming elections. 

Speaking at a press conference in Accra Thursday (December 5), he said his outfit mobilised nearly 40,000 polling agents to safeguard votes during the elections. 

The Ghana Police Service under the National Election Security Task Force (NESTF) has deployed two helicopters to provide aerial surveillance at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) final campaign rallies at Legon and Madina.

This move forms part of enhanced security measures to ensure law and order as the two major political parties conclude their 2024 campaign season.

Actor and Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, John Setor Dumelo, has urged party members to accept the money and other items offered by their opponents from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of Saturday's general elections.

However, Dumelo also called on the people to vote against the NPP after receiving the items. 

The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has called on all eligible voters to participate actively in Saturday's presidential and parliamentary elections.

A Nigerian pastor has lost his battle against deportation from the UK despite claiming it would violate his human rights.
