EC to re-run parliamentary election in one polling station at Dome Kwabenya
The Electoral Commission (EC) has decided to re-run the parliamentary election at one polling station in the Dome Kwabenya constituency in the Greater Accra Region.
This is following a disagreement over the declaration of the results from the said polling station, that is the Abokobi Women's Development Training Centre on a wrong declaration form [pink sheet].
The results was filled on a training declaration form instead of the original one, and so because of that, the results from that particular polling station has been rejected on grounds of irregularity.

Survivors on Azerbaijani plane say they heard bangs before it went down
Two passengers and one crew member on the Azerbaijan Airlines plane that crashed in Kazakhstan told Reuters that they heard at least one loud bang as it approached its original destination of Grozny in southern Russia.
Flight J2-8243 crashed on Wednesday in a ball of fire near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan after diverting from an area of southern Russia where Moscow has repeatedly used air defence systems against Ukrainian attack drones. At least 38 people were killed while 29 survived.
"After the bang...I thought the plane was going to fall apart," Subhonkul Rakhimov, one of the passengers, told Reuters from hospital.

Three killed in bus accident near Aggrey Memorial School in Cape Coast
Three people died on Friday when a bus on which they were travelling from Takoradi to Accra fell on its side at the intersection close to the Aggrey Memorial School in Cape Coast.

Azerbaijan says plane hit by 'external interference' over Russia before crash
Azerbaijan's transport minister has said the Azerbaijan Airlines plane that crashed on 25 December was subjected to "external interference" and damaged inside and out, as it tried to land in Russia's southern republic of Chechnya.
"All [the survivors] without exception stated they heard three blast sounds when the aircraft was above Grozny," said Rashad Nabiyev.
