The presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has assured that if successful at this year’s election, he will rehabilitate the National Theatre in Accra and build another one in Kumasi to support content creators in the region.
Speaking at a meeting with a section of stakeholders in the creative industry in Kumasi on Tuesday, Mr. Mahama noted that the party made the promise in its 2020 manifesto and will ensure that it is fulfilled by the next NDC government.

BoG suspends forex trading licence of Consolidated Bank of Ghana
The Bank of Ghana has suspended the forex trading license of the Consolidated Bank of Ghana (CBG) for a period of one month, beginning November 26, 2024.

GMA unhappy with increased health personnel involvement in alcoholism, drug misuse and abuse
The President of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA), Dr Frank Serebour has expressed concern over what he described as dwindling professionalism in the health sector in recent times, saying some health personnel are involved in alcoholism, drug misuse and abuse.
“There has also been reported cases of sexual harassment perpetuated by health workers,” he added.
Dr Serebour made the remarks at the just-ended 66th Annual General Conference of the GMA at Sokode-Lokoe in the Volta Region.
