In a writ filed today [May 21, 2025] by her lawyer, Godfred Yeboah Dame, a former Attorney-General, Justice Torkornoo is seeking a declaration from the Supreme Court to the effect that President John Mahama‘s determination of a prima facie case against her “was arbitrary, capricious, in violation of the right of the Plaintiff to a fair trial and therefore unconstitutional, void and of no effect."

Donald Trump has ambushed South African President Cyril Ramaphosa during a meeting at the White House by playing videos which he claimed pertained to allegations of genocide in South Africa.
The US president was hosting the South African leader, who sat quietly while the footage was played, and Mr Ramaphosa later said: "I'd like to know where that is because this [the videos] I've never seen".

41, 647 students registered for ‘No Fee Stress’ initiative – Presidency
A total of 41,647 students from public tertiary institutions across the country have successfully completed their registration on the portal launched to implement the government’s ‘No Fee Stress’ initiative, which covers admission and facility user fees for all first-year students.
This was made known by the Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu in a post onX.
Mr Kwakye Ofosu in his post on May 21, 2025 indicated that a total of 57,327 students have accessed the portal as of now.
