No weekend visits as Rawlings family opens weekday condolence sessions for late Nana Konadu
The family of the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, has announced that condolence visits will be received only on weekdays until further notice.
In a statement issued by the Office of former President Jerry John Rawlings, the family advised that all visits must be scheduled in advance by contacting 0276500008 to arrange a suitable date and time. The statement further noted that no visits will be accepted on weekends.

Use of mother tongue for teaching in schools is limited to only Lower Primary – Clement Apaak
Following last week's announcement by the Minister of Education that the use of mother tongue for teaching is compulsory in all basic schools and the subsequent public debate on it, the Deputy Minister of Education, Clement Abas Apaak, has said the new directive applies only to Kindergarten and Lower Primary levels, not the entire basic school system.
Dr Apaak's statement follows public debate sparked by his boss's announcement on Friday, October 24, that the use of mother tongue for teaching had been made compulsory in all Ghanaian schools.

"Please be assured that, as a lawyer and a firm believer in the rule of law, I will take all lawful measures to protect and exercise my rights in this matter," Eric Oduro Osae, a former Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency has stated in response to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission's (GTEC ) decision that declared his joint PhD degree from Nicaragua and Doctorate from the Swiss Management Centre (SMC) University 'invalid'.
In a letter dated October 27, 2025, addressed to GTEC, Eric Oduro Osae stated that he had not received any such letter from GTEC on the matter.
